Specialized Programs for Information Technology

Those students who wish to pursue a true vocational program will be encouraged to enroll in a specialized program at the outset. Students successfully completing a program containing 300 hours or more will be eligible for placement assistance.

 

Network Specialist (A+, Network+, MCP, MCSA)

550 Contact Hours / 27 Quarter Credit Hours

This certificate program offers skills to prepare a student to manage, administer, maintain and troubleshoot a Microsoft Windows network. Courses are designed to prepare students for employment opportunities which may involve network administration, user/client configuration, system and end user support. This program is intended to help individuals prepare for the MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) certification, comprising of A+, Network+, and three MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) industry credentials. Core components are as follows:.

Admissions Criteria
Student must be High School graduate or possess a GED (or equivalent).
 

Graduation Requirements

Students in programs must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher within the maximum allowable time frame and meet all financial obligations to the school for graduation.

Network Engineer (A+, Network+, MCP, MCSE)

This certificate program offers skills to prepare a student to manage and analyze client/server administration with a Microsoft Windows network. Courses are designed to prepare students for jobs which may involve: network administrator, network technician, WAN technician and systems analyst. This program is intended to help individuals prepare for the MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certification including A+ and Network+ industry credentials.
